Wisconsin Explore Five County Adventure June 2018
During June 7th, 8th and 9th, 2018 we ventured into and around the five Central Counties of Wisconsin (Adams, Wood, Portage, Clark, and Juneau ) This brings our "Having a meaningful experience" in all of Wisconsin's counties to a total of 41 out of a total of 72).
Some of this trip's "meaningful" experience included Top of the Rock Trail within Roche-A-Cri State Park, Adams County, to biking the Green Circle Trail around Stevens Point, walking through the wooded Sculpture Park, and sipping our way through the Point Brewery -all in Portage County. In Clark County we got to milk a giant cow named Chatty Bell and revisit the 1964 World's Fair Pavilion (now a radio station and memorabilia museum (yes, I attended the 1964 World's Fair in Flushing Meadows, New York City). And play outside a perfectly restored and maintained one room school house-Reed School.
On Saturday, after a morning bike ride on the Green River Trail we dined at the Little Crane Cafe Family Restaurant (rumored to be the best breakfast in town) and then hiked in Buckhorn State Park - the turtle trail, fishing pond and a glacier bed.
