The Irish Famine is the event that has had the biggest impact on Irish history. The book is dedicated to the millions who died and left its shores. West Kerry was one of the regions worst affected by the Famine. Its isolation and remoteness meant relief was inaccessible and reporting of conditions was a rarity,
