Palm Springs Aerial Tramway & Joshua Tree National Park

Begin this adventure on a desert floor wind and solar farm and then hop aboard the world's largest rotation tram cars (made in Switzerland). Travel up over two and one half miles in just 10 minutes as the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway climbs from desert near Palm Springs, CA. to snow in the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. The tram cars revolve slowly from within, creating both a challenge and opportunity for photographers attempting to capture the valley floor and surroundings area while ascending and descending. At the top take a close up look at a small portion of the natural world within 14,000 acre Mt. San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness Area ( with 54 miles of hiking trails and primitive campgrounds). Enter the Joshua Tree park via the West Entrance Station and navigate through Hidden Valley before dusk, and then via Sheep Pass continue to where the journey ends as the sun sets at Jumbo Rocks. Watch the magic of the evening sky morph through shades of blues and whites, complimented by radiant red and golds. Look towards and away from the setting sun as the one of a kind Joshua Tree light creates shadows and silhouettes that astound.
