Four Square Fall/Winter 2016 - Push to Occupancy
With the inspection approval for Utilities (Electrical, Water, HVAC) completed, and insulation installed, the push toward Occupancy continues. Beginning in Mid-October 2016 this Album captures the final closely timed tasks necessary for Occupancy. Drywall installed on Nov 4th and 5th followed by initial Dry Wall "Mudding" on November 14th with exterior siding Myron & Dan. Floor sanding by Jay Long, Arrow Floor Sanding with start in kitchen on October 29th with completion on. On November 17th forward progress made with mudders on the interior & Dan, Dave and Myron on the exterior on a beautiful sunshine late autumn day. By November 19th, a Saturday, temperatures plunged to freezing and below, as the early signs of winter arrived on short notice. Meanwhile, the now cozy four square with insulation and heat made way for Dave to finish priming ceilings and walls while MMC (Madison Mennonite Church) volunteers removed wood flooring from the present abode for installation in the Four Square kitchen and downstairs. On Monday, November 21st, the sun is out again - Jay is back with his power sander and floor refinishing skills going full steam - Dan and Myron are taking up floor boards in the downstairs while Dave paints the kitchen with fresh green paint - getting ready for cabinets. On Sunday, Nov. 27th the whole family picks up rollers and brushes and covers the dry wall with select colors. Sue Horein demonstrates her painting skills. On Wednesday, November 30th walls, floors, plumbing underway with the near term goal of finishing wood floors and all walls painted. On December 1st Jay puts the fine sand on two of the larger downstairs rooms while Dan and Myron head toward closure on the Dining & Kitchen floors.
