A Window to a New Season @ 6438 Grandview Rd.
On the spring morning and early afternoon of May 7th I joined the working trio of Myron Gingrich and his in laws (Jonathan & Marietta Stoltzfus - Lonna's parents) at the 6438 Grandview Road as new windows and vistas became opened for the first time. Earlier in the week a roofing team of Amish had prepared about half of the roof for new shingles. There was considerable clean up to undertake in addition to preparing and installing the first of several more windows for the house. Here's our first look inside the house since the basement project of October 2014 http://www.kentsweitzerphotography.com/Other/6438-Grandview-Road-Fall-2014/45372615_DJfTRR
In this album we explore every floor from the basement to the first, second and attic levels of this amazing work in progress. Everywhere new visions are opening up- literally from the basement to the roof top. Myron said, "There were times when I wondered if this day would ever come." Take a look at the emerging home of 6438 Grandview including the first of several energy saving Marvin window installed with every attention to detail possible. On cloudy and overcast Tuesday, May 12th during additional roof work by Benuel S.Lapp and his family team; I visited the Grandview Site and took some scenes from the attic and through the attic rafters. At the request of Benuel, I took no photographs of his group while at work.
