Children of Tijuana's "Landfillville"
For decades the tractor trailers full of San Diego's discarded trash was buried in Tijuana, layer by layer. For hundreds of families; salavaging the landfill waste became a source of income as well as an affordable place to live. The site is now closed while life in the landfill area and nearby community continues to evolve. Take a look at the faces and world of a surprisingly resilient and cohesive neighborhood, just south of the U.S border.
