Madia, John & Sejal:"We LOVE Madison" Send Off Party
Many friends and neighbors of Madia, John and Sejal received the e-mail below alerting them to a special gathering at the Lakeview Community Park in Middleton. So, neighbors and many long time Madison friends gathered on Sunday, July 28th at 3:30 pm, enjoyed the company, shared stories and food and here's the once in a lifetime pictures as Madison sends some of our very best to our northern neighbors in Minnesota.
Dear Friends,
Due to a number of reasons, we will be moving to Minneapolis at the beginning of August.
Please join us for a "WE LOVE MADISON" party.
Sunday, July 28th at 3:30 pm at the Middleton Splash Park
We have such mixed feelings about leaving such an awesome town and such wonderful friends. The past eight years have been filled with incredible memories, and it will be tough to leave.
The exciting news is that John was offered a job for a Minneapolis financial firm, and he is thrilled about doing what he really enjoys! Also, I am so happy to share that I was offered my dream job serving as Social and Emotional Learning Facilitator for the Minneapolis Public School District. My job will involve training teachers and helping all schools in the district incorporate and value the kind of skills I wrote about in my op-ed piece- http://host.madison.com/news/opinion/column/article_c7af6280-6741-11e2-b1a4-001a4bcf887a.html). This is also my area of research, so I am thrilled!
THIS IS NOT A FAREWELL PARTY! We will be coming back to Madison regularly! Since I am not done with my coursework for my PhD program, I will be back one weekend a month until December. After that, you know we'll still be visiting regularly. We love you guys too much- we love Madison too much!
With that, please join us for a celebration of how awesome Madison is, and to celebrate how much we LOVE YOU.
Love,
Madia, John, and Sejal
