Sonoma County Pacific Highway 1 Sunday Morning

On Sunday morning, May 3rd, 2015, Laura drove us from her Oakland home about 80 miles north along California Highway 1 to Jenners and Duncan's Cove & Landing. Our first stop was for breakfast at Cafe Aquatica where Lexi Shankster and her dog Scout (Border Collie mixed with Lab) joined us for breakfast followed by relaxing along the beach at Duncan's Cove. Spring flowers were in bloom everywhere, adding color to an overcast morning. There was plenty of time to read and spread the picnic over several hours until returning to Oakland in the afternoon.
