Prairie Rhapsody Benefit Concert @ Holy Wisdom Monastery

A benefit concert at Holy Wisdom Monastery featuring Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society http://www.bachdancinganddynamite.org/ was held on Thursday, June 13th, 2013 at 5:30 PM. "Chamber Music with a Bang" is the Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society's trademark signature style - there's room for moving music even within the walls of a Monastery. Come take a look at the many dedicated volunteers and staff plus generous guests which make such an event possible. By request, no photographs of Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society were taken during the performance.

Reverence for creation is a centuries-old Benedictine value. The Sisters care for the land because it is good for the land, the Lake Mendota watershed, and the many people who come to the monastery.

Over the course of the last fifteen years, Holy Wisdom Monastery has partnered with volunteers and donors like you to restore more than 100 acres of prairie, reclaim a 10,000 year-old glacial lake, and create a detention pond to capture sediment and pollution-laden run-off headed for Lake Mendota.

Today, these restored areas provide: 1) quiet meditation places for guests; 2) rich and diverse habitat for wildlife; 3) scenic vistas for all to enjoy; and 4) protection for Lake Mendota. Learn more about Holy Wisdom Monastery at http://benedictinewomen.org/
