Habitat for Humanity Restore on Brooks St., Madison

The Habitat ReStore Deconstruction Team of 20 volunteers is shown at work (Monday, November 28th, 2016) on the largest deconstruction project of 2016. Properties at 825, 827 & 829 South Brooks Street are being removed and will be replaced by better conditioned homes located directly behind the existing houses. The volunteer crew removes flooring, windows, lighting, cabinets and other materials of value saving them from landfills. Instead reclaimed materials will be sold via Habitat Restores to help supplement the building of additional Habitat Homes in Dane County. Additional properties on Maywood and a commercial building on Park Street will be reclaimed as well.
