Farley Center Farm Incubator Open House
On Sunday, June 2nd 2013, the Farley Center Farm (Linda and Gene Farley Center for Peace, Justice & Sustainability) Incubator Open House hosted visitors for lunch, prepared with Hmong and Latino produce followed by tours of the Farm Incubator & the Natural Path Sanctuary green cemetery. Visitors received up close and personal tours and information about the collaborative CSA projects and the varieties of produce grown, marketing to different ethnic groups and the farming techniques employed for small scale production. Farmers sell through CSAs, at farmers markets and to restaurants and schools. The farmers are Hmong, Mexican, Colombian, Africian American and Europe American women and men. The Center, located at 2299 Spring Rose Road, Verona, Wisconsin, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and is located on 43 acres of beautiful forest and scenic farmland.
