Door County Gems: Walk On Foundation, Newport Suites, Thompson Stained Glass Studio & more.
Between Tuesday, October 23rd & Thursday morning October 24th 2018; I documented some of the interwoven passions of Don & Jean Thompson. Here's an up close and birds-eye view of several gems including the birth of the Walk On Foundation nestled within the surroundings of the Newport State Park - one of only 13 Clear Sky parks in the United States. I also revisited Thompson Stained Glass Studios & captured some of the commissioned Monarch butterfly stained glass work in progress -- overlayed with images of the late Mona Monarch - an inspirational gift from above. On perfect late fall days Newport Suites photos - interior and exterior were added along with portraits of Don & Jean Thompson - backdrops included the Door County Bakery & the Walk On Foundation renovation in progress. And there's spontaneous pictures of Wolfie posing and often running. I allowed time for a leisurely walk around Ellison's Bay. The album is supplemented with interior photographs of Newport Suites taken on Tuesday, October 23rd in the early afternoon -this was my Door County home for two days.
