Fish Sculpture for Denny Weaver's Book III 09.04.2017
For the third photo shoot the margin around the fish was increased substantially with the purchase of a larger artist board. In addition, the fish was rotated in 90 degree increments to produce different shadow directions and intensities. Finally, all fish orientations were photographed with diffuse natural light only, and then supplemented with diffuse direction-ally bounced Speedlite 680 EX for fill. The final sequence of 32 fish give a range of shadows with varying directions and intensity in order to achieve a cover "bleed". Notes from the prior shoot at J. Denny's home: On August 30th, 2017 at the home of Denny and Mary Weaver we photographed the Fish Sculpture for Denny's book: Education with the Grain of the Universe. The Sculpture is the creation of the late Gregg J. Luginbuhl, Emeritus Professor of Art, Blufton University. Photographers Notes: Canon 5D Mark III with 24mm-70mm f/2.8 with bounced fill light Speedlite 680EX plus natural light. Blue fabric background & white board background options.
